Position Overview

The PeopleSoft HCM Administrator will support the design, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of PeopleSoft HCM applications—specifically Absence Management, Time and Labor, and core HCM modules. This role ensures system integrity, compliance with business processes, and alignment with client requirements. The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on experience with PeopleSoft version 9.1 or later and collaborates effectively with HR, Payroll, and IT to deliver accurate, secure, and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

PeopleSoft Absence Management

  • Configure and maintain absence frameworks, absence calendars, and absence entitlement rules.

  • Support functional teams in troubleshooting absence processing issues.

  • Optimize absence administration processes to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.

Time and Labor

  • Define and configure workgroups and task groups according to business rules and client requirements.

  • Set up processing rules to ensure accurate time reporting, approval workflows, and labor transactions.

  • Monitor batch processing, time administration results, and exception reports.

System Administration & Support

  • Support PeopleSoft environments, including configuration, testing, and functionality enhancements.

  • Analyze system issues, propose solutions, and coordinate with technical development teams to resolve them.

  • Conduct regression testing, patch testing, and upgrade support across HCM modules.

  • Document system configurations, processes, workflows, and change logs.

  • Assist HR/Payroll and project teams in translating business requirements into PeopleSoft solutions.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and Functional System Analysts to support operational needs.

  • Provide user support, troubleshooting, and training.

  • Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of system outputs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or related discipline.

  • Minimum four (4) years of experience in systems analysis and programming in a web application environment, or equivalent experience working with PeopleSoft applications.

  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with PeopleSoft HCM version 9.1 or greater, specifically:

    • Absence Management (frameworks, calendars, entitlements)

    • Time and Labor (workgroups, task groups, processing rules)

  • Strong functional understanding of HR, Time, Payroll, and labor management business processes.

  • Experience performing system configuration, testing, documentation, and production support.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting federal/DoD or government-contracting environments.

  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft Query (PS/Query), SQL, and reporting tools.

  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft upgrades, PeopleTools, and integration best practices.

  • Experience with workflow design, security roles, and permissions.

Compensation: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
